Fuego Blanco
Sydney – Tango / Quartet
Fuego Blanco, orquestra de Tango. The passions of tango music was what brought 4 friends and musicians to create ‘Fuego Blanco’, spanish for ‘White Fire’. These young musicians are under the tutelage of Maggie Ferguson (bandoneon) and have recently studied orchestral tango styles from the 40s and 50s at the Tango Via Buenos Aires programme in Argentina.

Tángalo
Sydney – Tango Quintet
Formed in 2011 by Emily-Rose Šarkova and Owen Salomé, Tángalo grew from a desire to create a greater awareness of tango culture in Australia, and a fierce desire to see more tango-dancing to live tango-music. The group has performed in numerous Australian festivals including 2013 Made in Argentina Festival, Buenos Aires in the Southern Highlands, Tango in the Spring and the 2012, 2013 & 2014 National Folk Festivals.
Travelling to Argentina in 2014, as recipients of a JUMP Mentorship from the Australia Council for the Arts, Tángalo studied tango music with the great maestros of today and formed a creative partnership with the Latin-grammy nominated ‘Duo Ramirez-Satorre’, performing and touring together in 2015.

Tango Bar is a tango quartet exploring the original roots of tango. The sounds and flavours of passionate music that has become internationally recognized.
